Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to take transparent measures with regard to government teachers’ transfers, which would be proportionate to the strength of students. The transfer process is intended to enhance the quality of school education.
Keeping in mind the previous government’s failure in providing the required facilities to teachers, the Chief Minister asked the officials to solve issues of teachers in an amicable manner and ensure that government schools will have teachers according to the strength of students.
The previous government issued GO No. 17, on June 27, 2015, and GO No. 25 on August 21, 2021, to have one teacher for a school with students from 0-19, two for schools with 20 to 60 students and three teachers for a school with students from 61 to 90.
The Congress government is likely to consider allotment of web options like one for a school with up to 10 students, two for a school with 11 to 40 students, three for a school with 41 to 60 students and fill up all the posts sanctioned to each school.
Office-bearers from the teacher’s associations had met the Chief Minister recently. They highlighted their plight after the BRS government came up with GOs pertaining to teacher transfers.
Reddy promised to resolve their grievances but urged the teachers to provide the best possible education so that government school students would be assured of the quality provided in corporate educational institutions.
