3 new medical colleges to be opened in Madhya Pradesh: Rs 22,600 crore allocated for education in the budget; 22 new ITI, 11,000 vacancies announced in schools

The Madhya Pradesh government presented its full budget in the assembly today i.e. on July 3. Finance Minister Jagdish Devda presented a budget of Rs 3,65,067 crore this time. The budget has been increased by 16%. The government has not imposed any new tax in the budget for 2024-25.

The budget of the education sector is Rs 22,600 crore.

A proposal of Rs 22,600 crore has been made in the budget for the field of education.

Three new medical colleges will be started
The Madhya Pradesh government has announced the opening of 3 new medical colleges in this year’s budget. According to the budget, government medical colleges will be started in Mandsaur, Neemuch and Seoni this year.

PM Shri Excellence Colleges will be opened in every district
It has been said in the Budget 2024-25 that one PM Shri Excellence College will be opened in every district. Finance Minister Devda said, ‘One college in every district is being converted into a PM Shri Excellence College, more than 2000 new posts will be filled in these.’

22 ITI colleges will be opened in the state. There
are 268 government ITIs in the state. This year 22 more ITIs will be opened. This will increase 5 thousand 280 seats. After the opening of these colleges, this number will increase to 290.

There will be recruitments on 11 thousand posts in schools.
In this full budget, emphasis has been laid on recruitment of teachers in schools. Finance Minister Jagdish Devda said in his budget speech that along with teachers, 11 thousand posts will be recruited for sports and music in schools.

7500 police personnel will be recruited.
To strengthen the state’s police department, 7500 police personnel will be recruited. The process is in its final stage. Apart from this, the fees for examinations for recruitment in government services in Madhya Pradesh will be reduced. A new policy will be made for this.

Mustard and Chickpea Research Institute will be established.
Two Mustard and Chickpea Research Institutes will be established in the state. Chickpea Research Institute will be established in Ujjain and Mustard Research Institute in Gwalior.

Apart from this, more than 46 thousand new posts will be created in the health sector. The government is currently operating 14 medical colleges.

Only 3087 jobs in private sector in one year
There has been a huge decrease in jobs in the private sector in Madhya Pradesh. According to the Economic Survey report, only 3087 unemployed people got jobs in one year through the government.

In 2023, 52846 people were given jobs. In 2022, this figure was 49,759, i.e. there was an increase of 6 percent in jobs. At the same time, this figure was 83,119 in 2021. In this one year, private jobs had decreased by about 60%.

Provision of 30 crores for natural farming
The MP government has made a provision of 30 crores for natural farming in the budget. During the budget speech, the Finance Minister said that 82 lakh farmers are getting assistance.

Mohan government had presented an interim budget of 1.45 lakh crores.
After the formation of the government, Mohan Yadav presented a 4-month interim budget in February 2024. A provision of Rs 1 lakh 45 thousand crores was made for the financial expenditure of 4 months. The government had instructed the departments to spend the amount allocated within the stipulated time frame. The budget that has come today also includes this interim budget amount.
