The whole plan is to reinforce the company’s main occupation to the advancing sector of EV and provide smart low-carbon transportation systems to bigger gigacities.
One thing that the company has presented is the plan to reach a milestone of over 250 buses by next year, with the addition of 500 electric cabs, which extend the whole fleet to over 2,000 vehicles. In addition, the company intends to bring their new vehicle, the Electra E-Volt, with them in this expansion, that is a much-improved version, having longer battery life, new autonomous driving, and better safety features as compared to the previous model.
To begin with, the electrified fleet including new vehicles will appear on the streets of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, whilst the rest of the cities will be ushered in in the next two months. Electra Cabs will have the new cabs operating as part of their smart AI that will provide input on real-time traffic situations and calculate the optimized route planning victimization. Also, they will allow for intercommunication through which the driver gets the input of traffic conditions at once.
Under the same fleet-faced operation of Electra Cabs, they have also redeveloped their mobile app owing to the needs of the user market and it has the aim to supply a more customer-friendly skill to the customer.
To do so, the app will allow users to exercise a variety of options such as commute planning, carpooling facilities, and a carbon footprint tracker, among others.
“We are happy to be able to provide environmentally friendly transportation services and assist India in achieving its green mobility objectives,” said Ananya Sharma, CEO of Electra Cabs. “The purpose we have is the provision of the transportation systems that can be depended upon for their sustenance, thus acting in response to the country’s commitment to finish credo in regard to carbon emissions.”
To support this growth, Electra Cabs is investing in a network of fast-charging stations across the cities, ensuring that their fleet remains in operation and efficient. In addition, the company has collaborated with local businesses and government agencies in implementing the use of electric vehicles and establishing the required infrastructure.
Electra Cabs has been a forerunner in India’s EV taxi sector which has worked on environmental matters and innovation right from the start. Its expansion should be taken as an indicator of its loyalty to the conversion of urban transportation and the support to green energy usage in the country.
